How we're paid
It's one of the most common questions people have about working with an agent, so we put the answer on its own page.
You are not charged additional fees for working with a licensed insurance representative. When you enroll in a plan through us, your premium is the same as it would be if you enrolled directly with the insurance company or through Medicare's website.
Representatives are compensated through carrier compensation structures. In other words, the insurance companies pay us for the enrollment and service work, at rates that are regulated for Medicare products.
It's also worth knowing the other side of that coin: consumers generally do not receive discounts for declining representation. Your premium stays the same either way. The difference is who takes care of the research, comparisons, and annual reviews, whether that's us or you.
